About Kay

Hey, I am Karris 'Kay' Daniels-Ellis, a Los Angeles, CA native who has worked in Finance since 2005. 

Spending the majority of my career in the Banking Industry, I held every position imaginable in a Bank. From Teller, Personal / Business Banker, and Mortgage Loan Officer to Trainer, Investment Manager, and Branch Manager. In short, I am experienced in Banking and Finance.

In 2013, I became a Licensed Representative and able to sell Packaged Products by attaining a Series 6, Series 63, and Life Insurance Licenses. I studied Business Finance, Accounting and Economics in college, and attained my Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance in 2018.

In all of my experience and education, I noticed a severe disconnect in the advantages and access of certain demographics over others. From the way credit is allocated and allotted to certain demographics over others to the information that is intentionally kept from certain demographics for the advances of others, there are evident and intentional systems in place that are against the financial advancement of certain demographics.

Ask yourself when was the last time your bank helped you invest your money? Taught you how to Balance a Checkbook? Or gave a lesson on Building Credit before issuing a newly turned 18-year-old a Credit Card? How about the last time your employer taught you how your 401k works? Or the difference between Term and Whole Life Insurance?

Now, before you think I am a radical who has it out for Corporate America, let me assure you ... I am not and I do not! I simply believe firmly in the need to educate our youth so that they are able to make informed decisions instead of reaching adulthood blindly. Money Management Skills and Credit Comprehension and Access are such integral parts of our society that should not be taken lightly. Teenagers and Young Adults should be taught How Money Works, How Interest Works, How Credit Works, How Investing Works, How Life Insurance Works, How Taxes Work, and the list goes on. 

Teaching our youth how to properly manage their money will create more leaders who are well-rounded, goal oriented, and able to lead without being in a constant state of desperation.

It is my goal to provide a safe space for educating all who are interested on all things FINANCE. 

My business is about teaching everyday people to manage, budget and invest their money. 

Not to make anyone feel like they must 'qualify' to have a seat at my table, but to offer a chair while we talk about Kash while drinking our Koffee.
